Dariia Lytvishko
Executive Summary
Artist-in-residence of "De Principaal" in Ghent Belgium, notably gifted organist and piano performer Dariia Lytvishko is the forthcoming music director at St Matthew's as well as at the Trinity Church in Essen Germany.
Following the completion of music studies as an artist of piano, teacher and ensemble chamber music at the Volyn Technical College of Art and Culture in Lutsk Ukraine, Dariia Lytvishko obtained a bachelor's and a master's degree in classical church music from the University of Church Music Herford-Witten in Germany. During her master's degree, she specialised in artistic and liturgical organ playing and choir direction. More recently, Dariia expanded her organ playing and improvisation training at the Ghent Academy of Music in Belgium.
Apart from her current duties as artist-in-residence and director, Dariia has organised and performed numerous international concerts in support of Ukraine across Germany, Belgium, France and Canada whilst raising awareness not only about the immense and untenable loss of innocent human life but also the environmental devastation and loss of biodiversity caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Her vast ingenuity and musical versatility, including conducting and composition, as well as her personal interest in emerging scientific inventions and their impact on global human and environmental health prompted her to enthusiastically collaborate with current initiatives of ICAHRIS Research as a Member of its International Advisory Board in 2023.
