Federico Amezcua

Executive Summary

Federico Amezcua commenced his professional career as an accomplished lawyer focused on the regional growth of Sahuayo, a prosperous town located within the State of Michoacan in the Western Pacific Coast of Mexico. Taking advantage of the proximity of Sahuayo to Guadalajara, the Capital City of the State of Jalisco, the third most robust State of Mexico, as a young entrepreneur he envisaged harnessing a culture of highly trained professionals interested in creating a biopharmaceutical hub in his family home town.

In less than a decade, he succeeded in manufacturing and commercializing more than fifty pharmaceuticals and specialized products including immunosuppressants, anti-inflammatory agents, antibiotics, anti-hypertensive drugs, migraine blockers amongst several other compounds, enabling Sahuayo to become a pharmaceutical hub.

As an executive of the Board of Directors, Federico Amezcua, Dr Carlos Amezcua and Dr Gabriel Pulido-Cejudo co-founded BioConverGene Technologies Corporation™ to design, manufacture and commercialize various biopharmaceutical and specialized biomolecules for the prevention and treatment of inflammation, cancer, and obesity as well as the tailoring of vaccines and anti-toxins, recombinant stabilizing peptides and growth factors, stem cells and synthetic blood products.

Federico Amezcua is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce of Sahuayo as well as of CANIFARMA, a Federal Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
