Peter Humphries

Executive Summary

Peter Humphries has led large IT and health system related activities across Canada and has decades of consulting and management experience in the public and private sectors. Health care, energy and government clients engage Peter for his expertise in human resources management, business process re-engineering, information standards, privacy, security and change management.

Peter was an elected leader of Canada Health Infoway's IT Privacy and Security Services Standards Collaborative Working Group from its inception and currently contributes to international standards development through the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). He has served on national and provincial committees that included setting standards for national mental health indicators and guiding e-health initiatives, and his professional board of directors experience includes time as a board member with the SYNAPSE-EHR project (a standardised electronic health record for mental health and tele-health) and 807 Network Northwest (improving rural and remote Internet access).
