Mónica Muraira
Executive Summary
Exceptional communicator and former radio host Mónica Muraira studied Communication Sciences at Universidad Regiomontana in Mexico. Avidly interested in human health and early disease prevention, Mónica has been deeply involved in deciphering and broadcasting our most recent understanding of complex ailments in an effort to providing guidance and support to those affected by various diseases.
Apart from national and international distinctions, such as the Canadian Ethnic Media Association and OHTLI awards, she gained popularity in North and Latin America countries through the production and hosting of her programme, "Momentos con Mónica," formerly heard on a local radio station in Ottawa (97.9 FM radio).
As an entrepreneur, Mónica has headed numerous cultural and health-related events in Canada and abroad, also serving on various school boards such as the Ottawa Carlton School District Board, Conseil des Écoles Catholiques de Langue Française du Centre-Est and Conseil des Écoles Publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario.
Mónica is a former member of the Council of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Mexican Government and Member of the Advisory Board of ICAHRIS™.
