Katherine MacRae

Executive Summary

Katherine MacRae is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate degree with a major in Marketing at Carleton University, entering her second year of studies in the Fall of 2026. With her strong passion toward corporate branding, visual communications and the harnessing of creative entrepreneurial strategies, Katherine has already begun building a dynamic portfolio that intertwines business knowledge with graphic design expertise.

Through her professional and extracurricular experiences, Katherine has collaborated with local organisations and enterprises contributing to the development of logos, trademarks and advertising activities aimed at strengthening brand identity and audience engagement. In addition, she has designed promotional materials and advertisements for the Sprott Student Business Society (SBSS), helping to support student initiatives while equally increasing its visibility across the business community at Carleton University as well as amongst aspiring new Sprott School of Business students.

Recognised for her creativity, leadership and attention to detail, Katherine will serve as the Graphics Design Director for SBSS during the upcoming academic year. In this role, she will create and oversee the visual branding and creative direction of the society's event campaigns and communications in order to continue fostering its positive engagement within the student community.

Looking ahead, Katherine aspires to further integrate and challenge her creativity to accelerate public awareness and understanding of emerging preventative health programmes and technologies in order to better address global human and environmental health and protection of wildlife at large. Through the creation of innovative design practices and marketing strategies, Katherine will continue to assist in the delivery of impactful programmes and initiatives aimed at enhancing global human and environmental health. As an active member of the advisory board of ICAHRIS Research, Katherine is particularly eager to create meaningful connections between partnering organisations and their audiences.
